About Us
The Iowa Entrepreneur Network provides Iowa entrepreneurs and investors with a community to integrate entrepreneurial expertise and interests across the state. Our goal is to create a critical mass of talent to accelerate the growth of Iowa business and career opportunities.
The IEN contains:
- “Best Practices” reference materials for entrepreneurs needing reference help to better understand the technology of new business development and for investors seeking to learn more about how to invest in those businesses.
- Links to self-teaching aids at entrepreneurial websites nationwide to provide training and encouragement for Iowa entrepreneurs and investors.
- Links to organizations within Iowa, including the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers and local entrepreneurial development groups, to encourage entrepreneurs and investors through face-to-face contact and assistance.
- And coming soon: “Virtual Communities” of entrepreneurs and investors through electronic forums in areas such as software, biotech, manufacturing, agriculture, angel investing, and venture capital.
Where to Start?
Begin on your own with some of the reference materials and teaching aids in “Technical Resources”. To get your ideas moving, visit one of the Portals to meet face to face with a skilled Iowa business developer.
